- Label Spotlight: Make Your Eraon April 30, 2026 at 9:16 am
Hi, Who are you? MakeYourEra Records is an electronic dance music label founded by Vibe Chemistry. What’s your ethos? We play a key role in supporting up and coming artists’ debut, develop and grow within the dance music space. We are a record label that treats artists like the creatives they are, we offer support, advice and seek originality. For artists by artists. Tell us your origin story? After claiming success as an up and coming diverse dance music artist, Vibe Chemistry carved his own lane in music, especially in drum and bass. He wanted to create a space for like-minded artists who like to explore their creativity. Tell us about your local scene… Our team is based in the growing city of Milton Keynes, just a stepping stone from London. The rave culture is incredibly deep rooted in history here, we were raised by parents who attended Sanctuary, huge events at the MK National Bowl and currently the best venues are Unit Nine, Stadium MK or Arena MK. Being in the centre of the UK, it makes it really easy to attend events up and down the country and MK has also been known for free party locations. Do you have a specific sound or vibe? MakeYourEra is not about focussing on one sound. The vibe we truly resonate with is music that you can’t resist reacting to, whether that be dancing to the beat or the rhythm, pulling a bass-face to a filthy drop, or vocals that emotionally connect with you on a deep level that make you really feel something. Do you have a regular artist roster- who can we see releasing with you? We thrive on seeking out new talent, we don’t have any exclusive artists intentionally. Our roster has almost reached 100 artists – we truly can’t list them all! But to name a few, producers who regularly release with us include: Medicine, Maurizzle, Magenta, Contact Point, Hamses and the vocalists we have frequently worked with include: OHKAY, Eda Hinkova, Hollie Gautier, Conni, Jimmy Danger, Elro and Y-ZER. Tell us about your A&R process… We have two producers on the team who can offer technical advice, then we have one person who is a lover of music who can vibe check. We also offer a male and female perspective which can be really valuable as feedback. What makes you different from other labels? We work closely with artists and focus on their artist development. We get artists equipped and ready with press shots and DJ clips and a tool set to help them navigate the music industry and help them to get to the next step of their music careers. What does it take to run a bass music label in 2026? Discovering fresh talent has never been so easy, we utilise social media as well as regular listening sessions of our demo submissions. With the rise of AI, we are actively seeking out new vocalists. What have you got coming up we should look out for? This year we are working closely with new talent and releasing a brand new era of dance music, branching out to more 140 in addition to DNB. We are releasing our latest DJ series of MYE In-The-Mix on our YouTube every month and we have our mixtapes dropping every season in 2026. Follow Make Your Era :Beatport / Instagram / TikTok
